In Memory of Officer Tyler
On June 1, 2023, Officer Tyler was preparing to breach a home of a violent subject who had taken two hostages and was barricaded inside. After an eight hour stand-off and negotiations, it was determined that the SWAT team needed to make entry. A firefight ensued and shortly thereafter, Randy Tyler was fatally wounded.
Officer Tyler was extremely well-respected and held numerous law enforcement accolades including supervisor of the Narcotics Division, Swat member, and Chief of Police. He was sharp, fearless, and confident. Those who knew him well describe him as a true warrior, a defender of the underdog, and a proponent for justice. The community that he spent a lifetime serving will be forever grateful for his sacrifice. He will not be forgotten.
In Memory of Our Little Monkey
January 24th, 2022, a son was born to a lovely family in Raymond, Mississippi. Their firstborn was the light of their home, but God’s plan was unpredictable. Unfortunately, their “little monkey” is no longer with us which is why Nicole was commissioned. Now, his parents have a beautiful oil painting in dedication to him that will last a lifetime.
David Rankin
David Rankin, while seeing his wife grieving, felt the need to encapsulate and honor his mother-in-law and father-in-law’s memory in a way that a photograph cannot. When he saw Nicole’s previous drawings at an art fair, he knew right away that she was the artist for the job; so he commissioned Nicole for the project.
When David presented his wife with the drawing that he had commissioned, she immediately broke into tears. Her mother’s memory and her husband’s love for her will forever be encapsulated in this drawing.
Pet Portrait
It all began with Honey, the first family pet of the Velez family. Soon, it was two, Honey and Coco, and then four. This commission will serve as a timeless dedication to the fond memories shared with Honey, Coco, Gucci, and Izzy. They will never be forgotten.
Coors & Boars
“Sometimes hunting isn’t about hunting at all.”
Being from Ecuador, Nicole had no experience of hunting prior to moving to the United States. But shortly after moving to Mississippi, she realized what it really meant to southern culture.
Hunting is not just about finding meat to put in the freezer. It is about making unforgettable memories with close friends. It is about becoming one with nature and growing our respect of the land we inhabit. It is about understanding our role in God’s creation.
Family Memory
Family memories are very cherished, but what do you do if you realize your favorite photograph of your little girl and your husband has been damaged with water stains?
This was Melissa’s nightmare after Hurricane Katrina. To her dismay, the pictures that she held most dear to her heart had been blemished by torrential rainfall. One such picture was of her daughter walking with her husband. She loved the imagery of a father having an intimate conversation with his daughter. Now she has an oil painting of that memory that can weather any storm.
Mural
This was Nicole’s very first commission back in 2016. This was a huge undertaking because she had never done a project quite as large before, measuring approx 9ft x 8ft. In fact, she had never even painted portraits before, but that did not stop her. This commission was the project that encouraged her to pursue art full-time. The clients were extremely satisfied with the final product. Since then, she has had ample experience painting murals and has discovered a love for making large-scale art.
